Step Parenting Teenagers... Really? Does it Get More Confusing than This?

"Relationship w/ parent of an A.D.D. teenager!!!"

I met my boyfriend who is very loving and caring. However, he has a teenager son who is A.D.D. My boyfriend informed that his son is 19, but he has a mental attitude of a 13 year old.

After my boyfriend and I got a place together, his son came and stayed with us, and my boyfriend told me his son will be on his own in three months. It has been over 5 months, and his son is still living with us. His son doesn't clean up after himself, doesn't flush the toilet, he is one you have to stay on top of!

This has had a tough time on my relationship with my boyfriend, however, I love my boyfriend dearly! I have never been in relationship with anyone with children nor have I had children. Something tells me to stay in touch with my boyfriend and wait until his son moves out on his own, and something else tells to just move on due that this has put stress on me which has had an effect on my health.

What should I do?
