"Surely I am Not Just Overreacting"

by "Anonymous"

I would just like some feedback from others.

A couple of days ago, I got the PMS "weepies" out of nowhere and so I went to bed and cried like a baby. My live-in boyfriend immediately followed and wrapped an arm around me. He asked me what was wrong and between my deep sobs, I told him I felt very alone and that I didn't feel like I really had any friends. I cried for a couple more minutes and then rolled over to look at him. He still had his arm around me and when I looked at him, much to my horror he was looking at his iPhone and never made a move to even pretend to put it down. I rolled back over and started crying harder, because to me, I obviously didn't even have him.

I truly felt totally, 100% alone. He later asked me what was wrong.Am I way out of line, or has this person just demonstrated his complete lack of care for me?

I would really like any and all responses.

Thank you.
